Text on the old memorial:

At this place rest the fighters of the II. group of detachments, who fell on 25. 8. 1942 in the battle for the freedom of the Slovene people. Glory to the fallen heroes.

Two partisans fell: the battalion commander in the Kranjski bataljon, Jože Vidergar - Senko, and the fighter named Škorc. They were the first two fallen partisans in Carinthia.

The II. group of detachments was located in Carinthia during an attempt to break through from Dolenjska to Styria, after the attempt had failed on the southern side of the Karavanks. The partisans had taken refuge above the Lesjak farm in Robežah. In the battle, 10 Germans were said to have fallen. Vidergar was from Polje near Ljubljana, and he had taken an illegal name after his daughter. He had been wounded in the stomach and committed suicide with a bomb. The first name on the memorial is Jožef Kanzian, the eldest son of Lesjak, who fell on 28. 12. 1944 on Završje. On the memorial plaque it read:

Jožef Kanzian, son of Lesjak in Robežah, lost his young life here, taken by a bullet, when a Hitler Youth member fired it. Born 2. 9. 1927, fell 28. 12. 1944.
