Caven, Anton Dragar Square on the Antun Bavčer Slope

The square was of a rectangular shape (60 x 40 cm) and made of bronze. Date of discovery: May 13, 1974.

"Army went to the end.."
inscribed on the plaque, embedded in the wall of Planina lodge on Čavnica

February 1945. The army went to the end, from a burned logging house on Čavnica towards Bevrec; three partisans passed by Bevrec and reached the top. They looked down at the snow-covered Planota below in the white snow the black patches of burnt walls of destroyed homes were visible. "Enough work awaits us after the army," sighed one partisan with officer's insignia on his sleeve. - "Just to finally end this damned famine, then we'll be done," replied another. The third said nothing; he looked at Planota and searched for his home. He was Famečk from Otlice..
"Let's go," the one with the highest rank almost harshly ordered, "It's still far to Čepovani!" They descended along a forest path. Suddenly, like in a dream, they saw Germans ahead of them. A burst of machine gun fire and a grenade launch drove them under the road into a ravine..

The three partisans were: the head of national defense for Slovenian Primorska Anton Dragar - Nedeljko, from Dragomelj near Domžale; the commander of a local defense force Zvonko Jelen; and the supply officer of XXX division Famečk from Otlice.
