Dom of the Union of Warriors, Škofja Loka

Memorial plaques at the House of the Union of Fighters in Škofja Loka on Kidričeva cesta are dedicated to 197 fallen fighters and victims of fascist violence in the years 1941–1945 from the territory of the Municipal Organization of the Union of the People's Liberation Army (ZB NOB) of Škofja Loka, which consists of local organizations Škofja Loka - the town, Stara Loka - Podlubnik, Trata - Godešič. They were unveiled on the opening of the house on 18 December 1954.

According to data from 1975, 1,017 fighters and victims of fascist violence fell on the territory of the administrative unit of Škofja Loka, that is, on the territory of the ZB for the value of NOB Škofja Loka, during the People's Liberation War. Of these, 243 fell from Škofja Loka and its surroundings, 302 from Selška dolina, 349 from Poljanska dolina, and 123 from Žirov and its surroundings.

Of the victims from Škofja Loka and its surroundings, 47 fell from the area of Puštala, 26 from Reteč and Godešič, 15 from Trata, 54 from Stara Loka, 36 from Sv. Duha, and 65 from Škofja Loka. On the plaques at the House of the Union of Fighters in Škofja Loka, 197 names of victims are recorded from this area.

Ivan Časl, born 21 June 1896 in Šmartnem, a resident, lived in Škofja Loka, a member of the Communist Party of Slovenia, was arrested on 8 and shot on 9 February 1944 as a partisan for Kamnitnikom in Škofja Loka.

Anton Demšar, born 21 May 1907 in Jazbine pod Malenskim Vrhom, a keymaker and carpenter, employed in Škofja Loka. He joined the partisans on 6 December 1941 as the first Škofjeloški partisan, was an officer in the Cankarjev bataljon, participated in the battle of Rovt, the Poljanska uprising, and the Dražgoški battle. He fell on Stirpnik on 8 February 1942.

Franca Dolinar, born 31 March 1882 in Kopačnica, a krošnjarka, was arrested on 4 May 1942, and died on 17 September 1942 in Spalt in Bavaria.

Pavel Erznožnik, born 15 June 1913 in Dobračevi, a farmer in Škofja Loka, was arrested on 8 and shot on 9 February 1944 as a partisan for Kamnitnikom in Škofja Loka.

Stanislav Fojkar, born 25 May 1919 in Škofja Loka, a cobbler, joined the partisans on 4 May 1943, and fell in 1943 at Cavrnica below Križna Gora.

Jože Kavčič - Jernač, born on 18 April 1907 in Škofji Loki, innkeeper, master of carpentry and plumbing, gymnast in the Sokol gymnastics society, fireman, cultural worker - participated in the tamburaški and singing choir. He joined the partisans on 23 December 1941, fought in the Cankarjev bataljon. He was secretary of the district committee of OF Kamnik. He died in Črni Grab in Blagovica on 15 January 1945.

Peter Kavčič, born on 29 June 1902 in Kopačnica, lived in Stari Loki, blacksmith, collaborator of the national liberation movement, was arrested on 8 and shot on 9 February 1944 as a partisan for Kamnitnikom in Škofji Loki.

Peter Kavčič - Jegorov, born on 20 August 1908 in Škofji Loki, master of carpentry and plumbing, joined the Cankarjev bataljon in December 1941 and participated in battles in the Poljane uprising and in Dražgoši in January 1942. He then became a fighter of the Škofjeloška četa. In April 1943, he was appointed secretary of the Municipal Committee of KPS Škofja Loka. In the autumn of 1943, he was appointed secretary of the District Committee of KPS Škofja Loka and died in this position on 18 March 1944 in Breznica under Lubnik.

Viktor Kocijančič, born on 1 November 1901 in Studenc pri Ljubljani, doctor in Škofji Loki, collaborator of the national liberation movement, was arrested on 8 and shot on 9 February 1944 as a partisan for Kamnitnikom in Škofji Loki.

Franc Hribernik, born on 24 October 1918 in Puštalu, mason in Gorenjska
predilnica in Škofji Loki, activist of NOG from winter 1941. He joined the partisans
on 6 June 1943 and became the quartermaster of Škofjeloška unit, in February 1944
he became assistant quartermaster of Tomaz's battalion of Gorenjsko unit and later
quartermaster of the battalion. In autumn 1944 he was transferred to the
Intelligence Center Škofja Loka of Gorenjsko military district. He died on 1 May 1945
at Žolšče.

Janez Jamnik - Žane, born on 29 September 1919 in Pungert, cadet of pilot
school, joined Loška unit of Gorenjsko unit on 13 June 1943 and later moved to
Prešernovo brigade, died in the night of 4 August 1943 during the battle at Sel near
Žireh.

Vladislav Jamnik, born on 2 January 1921 in Pungert, tailor's assistant, joined
the partisans on 3 February 1943, was captured on 6 October 1943 and shot dead as
a civilian on 31 December 1943 near Medvode.

Anton Jenko, born on 17 January 1906 in Pungert, cyclist, joined the partisans
on 20 March 1944, died on 6 April 1944 in Todraž.

August Jenko, born on 4 August 1922 in Pungert, worker, joined the partisans
on 15 March 1943, died on 25 August 1944 near Čatež on Dolenjsko.

Jože Kalan, born on 21 February 1907 near Sv. Barbari, peasant worker, joined
the partisans in June 1943, died in September 1943 near Turjak.

Jože Košir - Rajko, born on 24 March 1926 in Puštalu, peasant worker, from
August 1943 was a courier of G-13a post in Polhovac, later at field couriers
over home territory near Jarček above Hrastniška grapa, died on 6 May 1944 in Hrastniška
grapa.

Marija Krmelj, born on 21 November 1896 on Sel above Polhov Gradec
housewife, was murdered on 6 September 1944 in her home by the Domobranci from
Črni Vrh.

Anton Kržišnik - Groga was born on 20 May 1918 near Sv. Ožbolt, was a
peasant worker. On 4 May 1943 he joined Škofjeloška unit, in September 1943 he
was assigned to newly established courier post G-15 of the first relay line. He died
on 24 May 1944 under Šinkovo home territory near Sv. Florijan below the firing
position of Domobranci from Škofja Loka.

Katarina Kržišnik, born on 24 April 1913 near Sv. Ožbolt, started cooperating
with the partisans after the departure of her brothers Anton and Pavle to the partisans.
She was an informant and courier, cooperating with courier posts G-13 at Sv. Ožbolt
and G-15 at Sv. Barbari. The Domobranci shot her dead on 20 February 1945 after
torture.

Franc Maček, born on 10 April 1918 at Sv. Andrej, worker, died on 24
December 1941 on the bridge at Visokem.

Janez Martelak, born on 26 December 1896 in Škofji Loki, was arrested on 9
February 1944 and sent to Begunje, died on 28 February 1945 in Dachau.Franc Nartnik, born on 27th September 1916 in Puštala, mizarski pomočnik, joined the partisans on 3rd March 1943, was captured in April 1943, and was shot as a partisan on 19th April 1943 in Lipnica near Kropa.

Jakob Notar, born on 11th December 1906 in Puštala, zidarski pomočnik, joined the partisans on 19th December 1943, and died in March 1945 near Cerknica.

Franc Okorn, born on 16th June 1909 near St. Barbara, farmer, joined the partisans in August 1944, and was missing from November 1944.

Leopold Okorn, born on 11th November 1921 in Puštala, worker, joined the partisans on 1st March 1943, was captured and shot on 1st May 1945 in Bodoveljski grapi.

Janez Omejc, born on 5th August 1896 near St. Ožbolt, landowner, collaborator of the national liberation movement, was arrested on 8th and shot on 9th February 1944 as a partisan for Kamnitnikom in Škofji Loki.

Jože Omejc, born on 21st March 1905 near St. Ožbolt, farmer, joined the partisans on 7th March 1943, was captured on 20th November 1944 near Cerknica, and died in Germany.

Stanislav Pečnik, born on 6th December 1913 in Gosteče, joined the partisans in autumn 1942, and died wounded in September 1943 on Dolenjsko.

Valentin Pleško, born on 21st January 1926 in Puštala, student, joined the partisans in December 1943, and was missing from 1944.

Alojz Prezelj - Lovrač, born on 21st June 1910 near St. Andrew, worker, lived in Bodovljah, joined the Škofjeloško unit on 25th March 1943, then served as a courier at post G-15, and was killed on 16th April 1944 near St. Barbara.

Janez Prezelj, born on 31st October 1913 near St. Andrew, rural worker, collaborator of the national liberation movement, was arrested on 8th and shot on 9th February 1944 as a partisan for Kamnitnikom in Škofji Loki.

Valentin Sever, born on 7th February 1903 in Puštala, factory worker, was arrested in November 1943, and died in Buchenwald in March 1945.

Alojz Trojar, born on 12th February 1920 in Puštala, commercial assistant, joined the partisans on 11th June 1943, and was killed on 24th August 1943 in Bodovljah.

Franc Tušar, born on 25th November 1899 in Novaki near Cerknica, farmer from Puštala, collaborator of the national liberation movement, was arrested on 8th and shot on 9th February 1944 as a partisan for Kamnitnikom in Škofji Loki.

Franc Vodnik, born on 19th July 1918 in Puštala, rural worker, joined the partisans on 3rd March 1943, and was killed on 16th January 1944 in Puštala.

Rudi Eržen, born on 21st March 1914 in Sovodnje, blacksmith and driver, joined the partisans on 12th February 1944, and was killed on 10th March 1944 at Martinj Vrhu.

Milan Ferdin, born on 18th June 1925 in Starem Dvor, tailor assistant, joined the partisans on 4th January 1944, was captured and shot on 25th March 1945 in Rovt in Selška dolina.

Peter Gaber, born on 4th July 1913 in Papirnice, factory worker, joined the partisans on 13th March 1943, and was killed on 2nd May 1943 on Veseli Gori on Dolenjsko.

Peter Hafner, born on 22nd February 1918 in Trati, keymaker assistant, joined the partisans on 23rd March 1943, and was killed on 22nd December 1944 in Lom above Tržič.

Matevž Kajzer, born on 1st September 1911 in Šutni, torbar assistant, joined the partisans on 24th March 1944, and was killed on 13th May 1944 in Žabnica.Anton Karlin, born on May 25, 1913 in Suhi, keyavničar, joined the partisans in June 1943, and was missing on Žirovski Hill in August 1943.

Bernard Koblar, born on May 15, 1901 in Škofji Loki, lived in Suhi, a writer, as an activist of the national liberation movement he was arrested on July 26, 1941, and was shot as a partisan on January 3, 1942 in Begunjah.

Anton Kovač, born on May 11, 1927 in Ljubljana, a torbarski vajenec in Virmašah, joined the partisans on December 13, 1943, was captured and shot on June 18, 1944 on Selški Planina near Jelovici.

Ivan Kovač, born on August 18, 1919 in Grencu, a factory worker, was arrested as an activist on April 4, 1942, and died on August 12, 1942 in Auschwitz.

Luka Krek, born on October 18, 1925 in Starem Dvor, a peasant worker, joined the partisans on February 4, 1944, and was missing in the final battles on Koroška.

Edvard Longo, born on August 2, 1913 in Leskovac on Dolenjska, a mechanic, lived in Virmašah, joined the partisans on May 28, 1943, was captured on June 7, 1943, and was shot as a partisan on June 26, 1943 in Soteska in Bohinj.

Marija Longo (born Proj) - Manja was born on November 30, 1919 in Virmašah, was a textile worker, joined the Škofjeloška unit on May 28, 1943, and was killed as a field political worker under fire from the Domobranci from Škofje Loke.

Ferdinand Majnik, born on May 12, 1905 in Lescah, a teacher, lived in Virmašah, joined the partisans on February 12, 1944, and died in April 1944 near Godovič.

Adolf Mihelič - Kofendež, born on February 5, 1907 in Škofji Loki, a mizar, joined the partisans on June 8, 1943, was in the rifle workshop, and died on November 11, 1944 above Gosteče.

Janez Miklavc, born on July 24, 1919 in Ljubljana, a mechanic, lived in Suhi, joined the partisans on May 3, 1943, and died on March 19, 1944 near Cerknica.

Dušan Pirc, born on June 10, 1926 in Ljubljana, a student, lived in Trati, was arrested on May 28, 1942, and was shot on July 28, 1942 in Bistrica near Podbrežje.

Anton Svoljšak, born on July 7, 1923 in Suhi, an electrician assistant, joined the partisans in 1943, was captured on December 17, 1943, and was shot as a partisan on December 31, 1943 in Medvode.

Jože Debenc - Lubnikar, born on 26th February 1909 near St. Barbara, woodworker, joined the partisans in March 1944, and died on 11th November 1944 in the rifle workshop above Gosteče.

Janez Drnovšek, born on 18th August 1900 in Reteče, farmer, was shot on 9th January 1945 at home.

Vinko Drnovšek - Sivc, born on 22nd January 1926 in Reteče, student, joined the partisans in July 1943 in Škofjeloška unit, and died as a courier near Jarček above Hrastniška grapa on 6th May 1944.

Ivan Franko, born on 26th April 1921 in Ljubljana, worker, joined the partisans in December 1941, later became a political worker in Škofjeloška district, and died on 7th June 1943 in the forest Za voglom on Godešič.

Janez Franko, born on 25th May 1887 in Jesnice, tailor on Godešič, was arrested in June 1941, and died on 23rd March 1942 in Buchenwald.

Janez Hafner, born on 14th December 1901 in Godešič, worker, joined the partisans in July 1944, and was missing from 4th January 1945.

Franc Habjan, born on 21st October 1919, mill assistant, joined the partisans in February 1943, and died on 15th August 1943 near Brezovica near Borovnica.

Ludvik Habjan, born on 13th August 1893 in Godešič, pillar master, was arrested on 1st March 1944, and died in Gusn 28th January 1945.

Franc Keber, born on 15th September 1904 in Godešič, shoemaker assistant, joined the partisans in February 1944, and died on 30th March 1945 under Križna Gora.
