Memorial Plate - House Inhabitants

On September 28, 2023, a memorial plaque was unveiled at Haus Brigittenauer Lände 46. It remembers the residents and workers Srul Jsak Blatt, Albert Ehrlich, Moses Ehrlich, Marie Feuerzeug (born Balsam), Walter Feuerzeug, Josefine Hirsch (born Heitler), Ludwig Hirsch, Oswald Hirsch, Alexander Holzer, David Holzer, Johanna Holzer, Josef Holzer, Rosa Holzer (born Spiegel), Hermann Kahane, Calel Neuberger, Anna Sabarsky (born Gelmon), Camilla Stagel (born Taussig), Fritz Tausik, Sigmund Tausik, Raphaela Tausik (born Goldner) and Leopold Wollner. Srul Jsak Blatt was deported to Dachau on October 2, 1939, and murdered in Buchenwald on October 20, 1939. Albert Ehrlich was deported to Nisko on October 28, 1939, and murdered in 1939. Moses Ehrlich was deported to Theresienstadt on June 28, 1942, and murdered in Treblinka on September 24, 1942. Marie Feuerzeug was deported to Theresienstadt on July 28, 1942, and murdered in Treblinka on September 23/24, 1942. Walter Feuerzeug was deported to Dachau on May 31, 1938, and murdered in Buchenwald on January 16, 1939. Josefine, Ludwig and Oswald Hirsch were deported to Theresienstadt on December 5, 1941, and murdered in Riga on January 19, 1942. Alexander Holzer fled to Zagreb on January 25, 1941, and was murdered in Croatia in 1941/42. David Holzer was deported to Nisko on October 27, 1939, and murdered in Karmensk in the USSR on February 12, 1942. Johanna, Josef and Rosa Holzer were deported to Theresienstadt on October 9, 1942, and murdered in Auschwitz in July 1944. Hermann Kahane was deported to Kielce on February 19, 1941, and murdered in the Holocaust. Calel Neuberger was deported to Izbica on April 9, 1942, and murdered in Belzec in 1942. Anna Sabarsky was deported to Maly Trostinec on August 17, 1942, and murdered there on August 21, 1942. Camilla Stagel was deported to Theresienstadt on July 22, 1942, and murdered in Treblinka in October 1942. Fritz Tausik fled to Belgium on July 4, 1938, was deported to Auschwitz on July 31, 1943, and murdered there. Sigmund Tausik was deported to Theresienstadt on August 13, 1942, and murdered in Auschwitz in July 1944. Raphaela Tausik was deported to Theresienstadt on August 13, 1942, and murdered in Auschwitz in 1943. Leopold Wollner was deported to Theresienstadt on June 20, 1942, and murdered in Auschwitz on July 10/12, 1944.
In addition, the memorial plaque remembers those who fled to the USA, Rubin Brand, Emil Brand, Lilly Brand, Siegfried Brand, Tyla Brand, Adele Fischer, Elsa Fischer, Helene Kohn, Hilda Krampflitschek, Robert Krampflitschek, Erich Marcuschewitz, Ernst Marcuschewitz, Fanni Marcuschewitz, David Sabarsky, Olga Sabarsky, Siegfried Sabarsky, Erna Singer and Ludwig Wortmann; those who fled to Argentina, Arnold Löwy, Herbert Löwy, Lucie Löwy, Paul Löwy; those who fled to Chile, Egon Rosenfeld, Moritz Rosenfeld, Walter Rosenfeld; those who fled to Great Britain, Franz Baron, Maria Baron, Friedrich Rosenfeld; the person who fled to Shanghai, Felix Grünberger; those who fled to Palestine, Efraim Frisch, Fanny Frisch, Gerhard Frisch. The memorial plaque also remembers Irene Lustig and Wilhelm Lustig, who survived Theresienstadt, Coya Kranzbauer, who survived in a mixed marriage, Margarethe Rosenfeld and Julius Stagel, who died as persecuted individuals, as well as Helene Blatt, Richard Stagel, Hedwig Stagel and Artur Wollner, whose fate remains unclear.
