Auerperg's log house Alojz Šturm led Italian soldiers to a hunting hut under Debeli Vrh after heavy snow. He concluded that the partisans were staying there. Part of the Italian unit set up a camp and three partisans were killed by the fire of a machine gun. Later, the Italians forced the locals to bury the dead at the place of the incident.
