Memorial Plaque for Interned Hungarian Jews

In 2006, a commemorative plaque was revealed on the façade of Volksschule Jean Pictet at Bischoffgasse 10, remembering those Hungarian Jewish forced laborers and workers who were interned here by the National Socialists between 1944 and 1945. They had to work in trade and industrial enterprises. The camp was administered by the city of Vienna. The plaque was installed on the initiative of the Institute for Austrian Jewish History and the district administration.
