On November 20, 2000, a plaque was unveiled on the façade of the house in Neudeggergasse 12, commemorating the memorial project "Verlorene Nachbarschaft," which dealt with the former synagogue located here during the commemorative year 1998. The plaque was donated by three displaced Jewish residents of the districts Neubau and Josefstadt: Lucie Benedikt, Anne Kelemen, and Lore Segal.
