Gedenktafel Sopie Haber und Paul Grüninger

On November 11, 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the façade of the Paul-Grüninger School at Hanreitergasse 2, commemorating Paul Grüninger and Sophie Haber. As a contemporary witness, Haber was the initiator for the naming of the school after the Swiss police chief Paul Grüninger, who enabled approximately 3,000 refugees to illegally enter Switzerland before the National Socialist regime – among them Sophie Haber, whose daughter Ruth Fuchs attended the unveiling of the plaque.
