Gedenktafel Oskar Spiel

On October 15, 2013, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the façade of the Sir Karl Popper School at Schweglerstraße 2-4 in the district of Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus, commemorating Oskar Spiel. The educator and psychologist was persecuted by the national socialist regime as a political opponent. After the liberation, he founded the Schweglerstraße Secondary School. The plaque contains two photographs provided by Lona Spiel, documenting the opening of the school after the completion of post-World War II reconstruction work. The unveiling took place in the context of the school's 100th anniversary.
