On November 8, 2004, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the façade of the Rahlgasse Gymnasium at Rahlgasse 4, commemorating the Jewish physicist Marietta Blau, who had completed her matura at this gymnasium. After the National Socialists seized power, Blau first emigrated to Oslo, then to Mexico, and finally to the United States. The installation of the memorial plaque was initiated by Director Heidi Schrodt and Brigitte Strohmeier.
