Memorial Plaque Gestapo-Anhaltelager Karajangasse

In 1999, a commemorative plaque was placed in the Aula of the Brigittenauer Gymnasium at Karajangasse 14 in District 20. Previously, it had hung on the exterior facade of the school. It honors many Jewish women and men, as well as political opponents and their counterparts, who were confined together in a collection camp here by the Gestapo. Many of them were subsequently deported to concentration camps and murdered. The plaque was donated by the school.
