On November 26, 2008, a memorial plaque was unveiled at the Bundesgymnasium Fichtnergasse, commemorating those students of the school who were expelled during the National Socialist period. Many of them were murdered by the National Socialist regime.
The unveiling took place during a commemorative ceremony, which was part of a multi-month school project on the NS period. The school added a memorial plaque for the murdered students and a murdered teacher in 2015.
