On June 28, 1998, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the Breitenfeld Church at Uhlplatz, commemorating Franz Kohl, the accountant and party functionary of the Christian Social Party. Kohl, a member of the Fatherland Front, was sentenced during the National Socialist regime for "aiding high treason" and beheaded at the regional court. He had supported communist resistance fighters.
