Memorial Plaque Franz Adelpoller

At the Franz-Adelpoller-Hof in the district of Landstraße, the city of Vienna on November 7, 1989 placed a commemorative plaque at the intersection with Hainburger Weg honoring the namesake of the residential complex, the social democratic municipal politician Franz Adelpoller. The locomotive driver and railway trade unionist Franz Adelpoller was imprisoned multiple times after February 1934 for his illegal political activities on behalf of the Revolutionary Socialists. He aided politically persecuted individuals in fleeing to foreign countries.
