On March 17, 1988, a memorial plaque was installed in the building of the Westbahnhof at Europaplatz 1, commemorating the first transport of prisoners to the Dachau concentration camp. On the 65th anniversary of the event, in 2003, the original, horizontally oriented metal memorial plaque was replaced by a vertically oriented stone memorial plaque. The original plaque was transferred to the Fünfhaus District Museum. The text remained unchanged.
