Memorial Plate Biologische Versuchsanstalt Vivarium

On June 12, 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled at the former location of the Biological Research Institute in the Wiener Prater, Hauptallee 1, by Cultural Affairs Mayor Andreas Mailath-Pokorny and Anton Zeilinger, President of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, commemorating the Biological Research Institute Vivarium and its directors Leopold von Portheim, Wilhelm Figdor, and Hans Przibram. Przibram and Portheim were affected by the antisemitic policies of the national socialist regime. Hans Przibram died in the Theresienstadt Ghetto.
