In 2005, a commemorative plaque was installed at the House of Mercy located at Seeböckgasse 30a. It honours those women and children who during the Nazi regime were deemed "unworthy of life" and transported from the House of Mercy and the associated home in Totzenbach to the institution "Am Steinhof," where they were murdered. The design for the plaque was created by Stephan Hilge. A commemorative plaque had already been inaugurated at the former site of the House of Mercy in Währing in 2002.
