On November 5, 1984, a memorial stone was erected in the Donaupark in the 22nd district in memory of Wehrmacht soldiers and firefighters who had been executed on the former shooting range Kagran. The Wehrmacht soldiers had previously been sentenced to death by military courts for "desertion" or "military sabotage." At the opening, Franz Loidl (as former Wehrmacht parish priest, eyewitness to the executions), Karl Semlitsch (military commander of Vienna), and Wolfgang Neugebauer (scientific director of the Documentation Archive of the Austrian Resistance) participated.
