Alma-König-Weg

The writer Alma Johanna König was persecuted by the NS regime as a Jewess. She was arrested on 22 May 1942 and transported to a collection camp, from which she was deported five days later from the Aspangbahnhof to the White Russian Minsk. Since then, she has been missing. She was probably murdered on 1 June 1942 near the estate Malý Trostinec, a former kolhoz southeast of the Minsk Ghetto. The naming of the street after her took place on 14.2.1977. In 2004, an explanatory plaque was installed regarding the naming.
