On May 24, 1995, a memorial for the victims of fascism was unveiled at Baumgarten Cemetery. The commemorative stone was designed by Leopold Grausam jun. from granite of the Mauthausen quarry. The decision to erect the memorial was unanimously adopted in the commemorative year 1988, although the FPÖ later withdrew their approval. The erection took place finally only seven years later.
