Memorial for Polish Soldiers and Victims of Fascism

The memorial stone for Polish soldiers and victims of fascism was erected in 1979 in grave group 88 of the Central Cemetery in Vienna-Simmering. The plaque on the memorial stone is made of reddish metal. Under the coat of arms of Poland, the names of thirty individuals are listed in raised script, partly also including military ranks and dates of birth and death. The memorial stands in a small, hedge-enclosed section, in which about 30 stone crosses are placed over graves. The memorial was funded by the People's Republic of Poland and designed by E. Kozak.
