The memorial plaque on the former concentration camp fence was placed there by the Jewish Mauthausen Committee on May 2, 1994, to commemorate Abba Berditchev ("Hagana" member and paratrooper) and five other British officers who were murdered in the Mauthausen concentration camp at the beginning of 1945.
