Armenhaus Bartholomäberg

From the former Armenian house Bartholomäberg, the National Socialists took away at least 13 Montafoner individuals who were persecuted as "Euthanasie" victims. Six of them were sent back after intervention by one of the supervisors, Sister Tolentina, while the others were deported to Hall, Hartheim, or Niedernhart. Until 2022, no sign marked the site of deportation. As part of the project "15 Orte – 15 Geschichten", a memorial plaque was erected. (See memorial plaque in Bartholomäberg "Ein Vorbild für uns")
