The memorial plaque for Peter Ottino and Theresia Bürgler, which is mounted inside the parish church of the community Dienten, also remembers the deserter Peter Ottino, who was shot dead during a raid carried out by SS and Gestapo on July 2, 1944. Peter Ottino was the son of Theresia Bürgler (born Ottino), who was arrested on July 27, 1944, and brought to the police prison in Salzburg. From the police prison, she was deported on August 27, 1944, to the concentration camp Ravensbrück, where, according to reports by other prisoners, she died in February 1945.
