In the foyer of the State Police Directorate in Salzburg there is a memorial plaque which commemorates six police officers who were murdered by the National Socialists due to their connections with the Austrofascist regime. The marble plaque was inaugurated on initiative of the Salzburg Executive on 13 March 1948 in the stairwell of Churfürstenstraße 1, where the police directorate was located at that time. After completion of the new building in 1985, the plaque also moved to the entrance area of the new Police Directorate.
