On the cemetery in Loipersdorf there is a memorial to commemorate the Romnja and Roma who were murdered during the time of National Socialism. Before 1938, 115 Romnja and Roma lived in the community of Loipersdorf, who were abducted into various concentration camps during the time of National Socialism and were murdered in large numbers. The memorial, designed by Andreas Lehner, was erected by the community of Loipersdorf/Kitzladen in cooperation with the Roma associations of Burgenland and was supported by the state of Burgenland.
