At the former communal authority building of Riedlingsdorf, which today houses a doctor's practice, a memorial plaque has been installed since 1998 honoring Alfred Hofer, a resistance fighter. He was part of the resistance group in Pinkafeld, whose members were denounced and arrested in 1941. Alfred Hofer was sentenced to three and a half years of hard labor in prison for preparing high treason in January 1943. He died on September 22, 1944, at the penal camp Griebo near Wittenberg.
