In the center of Steinbrunn/Štikapron, a memorial stone was erected in 1992 for the resistance fighters and victims of fascism of the community. The initiative came from Friedrich Robak, chairman of the Action Committee, former mayor and himself a victim of the Ständestaat. After the National Socialists seized power, a young communist group under Josef Laszakovits also formed, opposing the regime.
