The Jewish family Rosenberger operated a general store in Eltendorf until 1938. After the Nazi takeover, the family was expelled from Austria. The family members managed to flee to the USA. After the war, when the family Rosenberger regained their confiscated house, they sold it to Rosa Decker, a Burgenland emigrant who came from the neighboring village of Zahling and planned her return to her homeland. Following Rosa Decker's death in the USA, she bequeathed the house to her nephew Frank Decker, who in 2021 placed a commemorative plaque on the house in memory of the family Rosenberger.
