Since 1955, a street in Eisenstadt remembers Alexander/Sándor Wolf, who died in Haifa in 1946. Alexander Wolf operated a significant wine business together with his brother. Besides his activities as a benefactor of charitable institutions, Wolf was also an important collector of art- or Judaica-objects. After the confiscation of his property, Alexander Wolf fled from the National Socialists via Italy to Palestine in 1939.
