On the Jewish cemetery in Gattendorf there is a handwritten plaque, installed by a class from the NMS Zurndorf in June 2010, which among other things recalls the atrocities of the National Socialists.
In 1938, 22 people of Jewish faith from Gattendorf were expelled. Ten of them died as a result of NS terror. Only the Jewish cemetery remembers today the former Jewish community in Gattendorf.
