Memorial Plaque for Miha Županc at the Cemetery in Ebriach/Obirsko

Links next to the entrance at the Ebriach/Obirsko cemetery, on the cemetery wall, there is a memorial plaque for Miha Županc. The Carinthian Slovene born in Ebriach in 1909 was arrested by the Gestapo on November 30, 1942. On April 9, 1943, he was sentenced to death by the People's Court in Berlin for high treason. Together with his parents and siblings, he had supported the resistance against the NS regime. His father, with only three children, was executed at the age of 33 on April 29, 1943.
