Memorial plaque for Angela Traunik at the cemetery Ebriach/Obirsko

Links next to the entrance of the cemetery Ebriach/Obirsko, on the cemetery wall, there is a memorial plaque dedicated to Angela Traunik. She was born in 1887 in Ebriach as Angela Pörtsch. The innkeeper was the mother of five children. On 12 January 1943, she was arrested by the Gestapo and deported to the concentration camp Ravensbrück, from where she was transferred to the extermination camp Auschwitz. She died on 26 December 1943. The memorial plaque also remembers Angela Traunik's son Mirko, who was, however, not a victim of Nazi persecution.
