Memorial Plaque Church Wall St. Kanizian at Klopeinersee/Škocjan in Podjuni

At the southern wall of the church wall in St. Kanzian am Klopeinersee/Škocjan v Podjuni, a commemorative plaque is dedicated to four members of the Mohor family, formerly Dobrovnik, who died during National Socialism. The plaque remembers in Slovenian Helena Mohor and two of her adult children, who were arrested at the end of May 1944 on suspicion of supporting the resistance against the NS regime and were deported to a concentration camp. Helena Mohor and her son Hanzej died in custody in the autumn of 1944, while the fate of daughter Marija remains unknown. The inscription also commemorates the youngest son of Helena Mohor, Anton, who had already fallen as a Wehrmacht soldier in Russia before his mother and siblings were deported in summer 1943.
