Memorial for Victims of War and Violence in Latschach/Loče

The year 2010, 65 years after the end of World War II, the parish of Latschach/Loče took the opportunity to invite the Carinthian Slovenian artist Valentin Oman to design a memorial on the local cemetery for all victims of war and violence as a call for intercultural understanding. For this purpose, a project group "Kunstwerk von Valentin Oman" was formed. Intentionally, the inscription on the memorial should address both the past and the future. The memorial, consisting of three stelae, is located to the left of the church entrance on the grounds of the cemetery Latschach/Loče.
