Memorial for Walter Caldonazzi, Viktor Czerny, Ferdinand Eberharter and Karl Mayr on the Praa-Alm Wildschönau

In 2016, the retired state forest director Hubert Kammerlander contacted the owner of the alpine pasture, Peter Riedmann. They chose a location at the edge of the forest above the Praa-Alm for the erection of a memorial. The ensemble replaced the previous commemorative signs for Walter Caldonazzi and remembered three further forest workers murdered during the NS period: Viktor Czerny, Ferdinand Eberharter, and Karl Mayr. The memorial site on the Praa-Alm consists of a large wooden cross, a stone with a commemorative plaque, and a stainless steel urn with four plaques, on which the life stories of the murdered individuals are displayed with photographs. The costs were covered by the Tiroler Forstverein and the Catholic Austrian University Associations Amelungia Vienna and Cimbria Kufstein. On 27.8.2017, parish priest Paul Rauchenschwandtner blessed the commemorative sign.
