The teacher and political scientist Anna Elisabeth Rieser and the priest of Uderns, Erwin Gerst, supported by the doctors Martin Haun and Anton Fiechtl, ensured that a memorial for 25 named victims of the NS Euthanasia program from the Zillertal was erected on the cemetery in Uderns. The Kramsach stonecutting business Guggenberger took on the design. The community of Uderns contributed financially, yet the priest had to cover part of the costs privately. The inauguration ceremony took place on 11.9.2005, Bishop Manfred Scheuer blessed the memorial.
