Ing. Walter Caldonazzi was executed for the preparation of high treason, aiding the enemy, espionage, and undermining military strength. The "Friends of Contemporary Art" in Kramsach (Kunstforum Troadkastn) and their chairman Martin Seiwald have been actively involved for years in dealing with the NS period. On July 4, 2007, Seiwald and Mayor Manfred Stöger unveiled two commemorative plaques, which are mounted side by side: one names a square near the Mariataler Postbridge after Caldonazzi, the other recalls the fate of the resistance fighter. The artistic design was carried out by the sculptor Alois Schild.
