Josef Lechner and Erich Lederle were brought on 10.12.1940 by the Heil- und Pflegeanstalt Hall in Tirol to the Tötungsanstalt Hartheim near Linz and murdered there with gas. Following an initiative by Franz Wassermann as part of his art project "Temporäres Denkmal," the municipal council of Jerzens decided to install a memorial plaque for the two victims of the community on the war memorial. Pastor Raimund Bernhard consecrated the memorial plaque on Allerseelen Day on 2.11.2004.
