At the start of the school year in September 1983, the Marianite Congregation (MK) erected a commemorative plaque with a relief portrait in honor of Father Franz Reinisch, a former student of the institution, on the courtyard wall of the Franciscan Gymnasium in Hall. Reinisch was beheaded in the Brandenburg-Görden prison in Berlin because he refused to take an oath to Hitler after being conscripted. Below his portrait, his birth and death dates are engraved: 1.2.1903 P. Franz Reinisch 21.8.1942.
