On 11.2.1983, Josef Posch, mayor of Hall, unveiled a marble plaque in the entrance hall of the school for six former students of the Franciscan Gymnasium. Because they criticized National Socialism, spread news from enemy broadcasters, refused to swear an oath to Hitler, worked for the US intelligence service or the French Resistance, the clergy Jakob Gapp, Johannes Wilhelm Pieller and Franz Reinisch were executed just like the radio operator Dr. Walter Krajnc and Dr. Franz Josef Messner. Josef Anton Geiger, a parish priest in Karrösten, spent 13 months in prison and had to leave Tyrol.
