Next to the war memorial stand three members of the Maričnik family. The tenant Josef Maričnik (also known as Skorianz) had provided quarters to Slovenian Lackov Partisans, to which in March 1945 the Austrian "Koralpmountain-partisans" also belonged. He was killed on March 7, 1945, by Wlassov soldiers in Laaken, and his two daughters were stabbed with bayonets.
