Memorial Plaque for Members of the University of Graz

Gedenktafel für Angehörige der Universität Graz. The original Gedenktafel was donated by the Grazer nationalen Burschenschaften (including Arminia) to commemorate all University members "who fell victim to political arbitrariness and World War II between 1934 and 1955." Following protests, especially after it became known that during the unveiling ceremony, commemoration would also include SS-Obergruppenführer Ernst Kaltenbrunner, who had been executed after 1945 and was a member of the Grazer Burschenschaft Arminia, the plaque was taken down and replaced by a new one donated by the Akademischer Senat der Universität Graz.
