During the time of National Socialism, the Rhine formed the border between the German Reich and Switzerland. At this border, forced laborers were employed at a nearby quarry to obtain stones for flood protection. Since 2022, an audio walk with three stations remembers forced laborers who during the war crossed the Rhine into Switzerland and were transported from Ukraine to Vorarlberg.
