The building named 12. September was constructed after World War II on the site of the owner Stjepan Ožbolt's estate as a collective home. Later it was renamed the Culture House, and finally it received the name 12. RUJAN. This name was given because on September 12, 1943, after the surrender of fascist Italy, the return of the exhausted prisoners from the camps of Rab, Gonars and other camps began. The area around Gorače and Tršća was the most severely affected by persecution and internment. Therefore, the highest number of victims is recorded here.
