The monument stands on a space enclosed by a fence and surrounded by white stone blocks.
It is composed of three massive pieces of karst stone, representing the three main components in the liberation of Slovenia. Territorial defence, Milica and the Slovene population, who stood on the side of both armed structures in the liberation war. The stones are arranged so that they also symbolize the symbol and pride of the Slovenes in our Triglav. In the stones are engraved circles, composed of two parts that symbolize the encirclement and occupation of members of the Territorial Defence and Milice. In the centre of the circles is a triangle, through which despite the distance of all three stones, we look as through the sight of a rifle. In addition, there are also metal poles with a plate describing the event and a flagpole with the Slovenian flag.
The monument is dedicated to the joint action of members of the Territorial Defence (TO) and the milice, when they were captured by the JNA soldiers on Col on 1 July 1991, after the explosion of the military warehouse in Črnem Vrh above Idrija.
