On the building of the Prosvetni Dom
in the middle of the village, a memorial plaque was erected for the fallen fighters, partisans and those
who died in the camp. From Destrnik and the surrounding area, 22 people gave their lives for freedom. Source: Milan Ževart, Po sledovih NOB, p. 34. This plaque was removed, and the text was transferred to the memorial for all war victims.
