In 1991 did 24 members of the LD Malečnik, patriots, include in the work of NZ, TO and the militia. With their knowledge and weapons they protected important objects on the terrain and obtained important information.
In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of LD Malečnik and in memory of the contribution of Malečnik hunters during the Slovene independence war, a memorial plaque OZVVS Maribor was unveiled.
