The primary school in Borovnica was named after the Slovene poet, lawyer, and partisan Ivan Korošč, born on 23.1.1913, who died on 17.5.1942. He joined the partisans at the beginning of 1942, but he died in May 1942 near his home in Lazah. He wrote several poems, but except for two, they have not been preserved. After the war ended, he was buried in the Borovniška cemetery, but until then he lay in the family garden in Lazah.
