»The Gestapo, based on received information, was well-prepared to deal with
cooperators of OF who had assisted in capturing partisans and organizers of the resistance against the occupier. Their brutal campaign began on April 24, 1942, when a larger group of German police and gestapo surrounded Golče. The guide was named Hernaus. They arrested Jožeta Golobarj, who hosted a partisan meeting in his domestic temple, where partisans, couriers, and political workers Alojz Hohkraut, Vera Šlander – Lojzka, Polde Eberl – Jamski, Vili Vresk – Urban, Ivan Beja – Bela, Jože Gričar – Metod, Rudi Knez – Silas, and others were announced. A few days earlier, Jamski had left, as he spent some time in the temple recovering from a badly injured leg that still pained him.

The Gestapo severely tortured Golobarj with the consent of his family. They hanged him on a tree in a net for shade and severely beat him with cudgels. After thorough investigations and robbing his home, they took him to Samokolnice before sending him towards Jablani. He was also cruelly tortured in Gestapo prisons in Trbovlje, but he did not break or confess.

On the same day, Janez Razpotnik from Vežnič and his brother Bernard were also arrested. Jožeta Golobarj and Bernard Razpotnik were shot on May 13, 1942, in Maribor; while Bernard was sent to a concentration camp in Silesia, where he died after several months.
